Despite a somewhat delayed Early Access start, Compulsion Games’ Aldous Huxley-esque We Happy Few has spent a past several months operative towards full recover by introducing new areas and playstyle options. A new devblog has summarized where a presence fear diversion is headed next.
“Originally we were formulation to recover dual updates before a final recover of a game: a Joy associated update, and an refurbish that would have contained a Parade District (a formula new biome),” explains Compulsion around this Steam Community post. “We have motionless to pull out usually one vital refurbish between now and final release. This will be a Joy update, a bit after in a report (it will now come out around midst August), to make it bigger and better, and keep a Parade District for a final release.”
In practice, Compulsion suggests this will see a game’s Early Access and coinciding story builds (both of that share a formula base) combine progressing than planned. The dev also records that while it’d creatively designed to deliver a ‘Parade District’ into a diversion this side of EA, saving this refurbish compartment after launch creates some-more clarity given it is “intertwined so heavily with a story… distinct other biomes.”
The post continues: “By relocating to usually one final vital update, we can combine a Early Access and a story builds earlier, so that we can combine all of a efforts on creation a story a best it can be.”
