Lady Cats exist Lubbock Coronado in 5 sets


The Central High School volleyball group hold off Lubbock Coronado 25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 19-25, 15-11 in nondistrict play during Babe Didrikson Gym on Tuesday night.

Trinity Southall and Alexys Grafton had a team-high 12 kills every for a Lady Cats (8-2). Veronica Guerrero and Abbie Rivera had 23 and 16 assists, respectively.

“It was a roller-coaster compare for us,” Central conduct manager Connie Bozarth said. “We had some good plays and efforts sandwiched in between 33 spontaneous errors. We will keep operative on personification cleaner. But as always a bid and dispatch was stellar.”

Central will co-host a Nita Vannoy Memorial Tournament this weekend.
