Fire watch issued

— High temperatures, breeze and lightning in a foresee stirred officials to call for a Red Flag warning for a Lower Yakima Valley.

The National Weather Service’s Pendleton, Ore. is endangered about “… thunderstorms producing abounding lightning and blowing winds,” officials said.

The problem is compounded due to light rainfall.

“Any fires that rise will approaching widespread rapidly,” officials said.

Elsewhere in a Yakima Valley, officials released a inundate watch for a Naches River. It is approaching to design during 4 inches above inundate stage.

That watch is in place by tomorrow, they said.
