Feeling down? How to make a happy box to lift we out of a funk

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – WHNT NEWS 19 continues Taking Action to keep a review about mental health recognition and self-murder impediment during a forefront. We’re partnering with a Huntsville Hospital Foundation for a SPEAK initiative, that stands for Suicide, Prevention, Empowerment, Awareness and Knowledge. Our latest bid is a Happy Box Project.

Just like grown-ups, kids understanding with a lot of stress. We asked a few New Century High School students and SPEAK Ambassadors to give us some examples.

“I have been vexed before and we don’t unequivocally wish to be around people when you’re depressed,” describes 11th grader Sierra Arbogast. “You don’t feel like articulate to anybody.”

“One of my friends, she had a bad uncle,” says 10th grader Jayden Gautreaux. “That was a thing that happened to her. Other friends, it’s highlight and family issues and they can’t cope with it by themselves.”

It’s critical for immature people, and all of us really, to have healthy ways to cope. That’s where a Happy Box Project comes in.

“They can take equipment from their bland life that assistance them cope whenever life seems too heavy,” explains SPEAK Coordinator Anna Manning.

SPEAK Coordinator Anna Manning combined a happy box that includes diet Coke, her favorite aged movie, a note from her husband, a qualification her 3-year-old son done and a print of her family.
