Directed by George Kamitani, a diversion is a depart from VanillaWare’s normal anticipation style, holding place in a complicated environment highlighted by giant mechs. While a universe “may be bleak,” according to Atlus, VanillaWare’s “signature artistic gleam and beautiful aesthetics will move a characters and story of 13 Sentinels to life.”
Two things to note about this announcement:
- While 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is announced for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan, a press recover from Atlus U.S.A. does not discuss platforms. When asked for clarification, an Atlus deputy told Gematsu it has not announced platforms. (Update 10:43 a.m.: While a official website doesn’t underline any diversion console logos, a bottom does read, “The ‘PS’ Family heading and a ‘PSVITA’ heading are purebred trademarks. ‘PS4’ is a heading of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.”)
- While a press recover does not discuss whether 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will seem during E3 2017, a diversion was leaked as partial of a Atlus / Sega lineup in April.
